The Atlanta Blue Sox lost the lead late in a 9-6 defeat to the Sidewinders on Sunday. The game was tied at six with the Sidewinders batting in the top of the ninth when Lazzaroni singled on a 0-1 count, scoring two runs.
The Atlanta Blue Sox collected ten hits and the Sidewinders had 16 in the high-scoring affair. The Sox notched four runs in the fifth inning with batters contributing to the big inning included Jakub Izold, Joey Dukeminier, and Ryan Alexander, all driving in runs in the inning.
Coyle was the winning pitcher for the Sidewinders. He surrendered four runs on six hits over four and two-thirds innings, striking out four and walking one. Zahariadies threw four and a third innings in relief out of the bullpen.
