Atlanta Blue Sox Sets The Stage For Victory With Early Lead Over Blue Jays

The Atlanta Blue Sox jumped out to an early lead over the Blue Jays and took home an 18-4 victory on Sunday. The Atlanta Blue Sox scored on a error in the first inning, a single by Eddie Smith in the second inning, and a sacrifice fly by Jason Gilbreth in the second inning.
After the Sox scored two runs in the top of the third, the Blue Jays answered with two of their own. The Blue Sox scored on an error. The Blue Jays then answered when Marek singled on the first pitch of the at bat, scoring one run.
The Atlanta Blue Sox took the lead for good with two runs in the second inning. In the second Smith singled on a 1-1 count, scoring one run and Gilbreth's sac fly scored one run.
The Sox tallied four runs in the eighth inning. Dusty Gilbreth, Zach Moon, Gustavo Zaragoza, and Smith all drove in runs in the frame.
Ernesto Sosa got the start for the Blue Sox. He allowed 12 hits and four runs over seven innings, striking out five.
Josh led things off on the pitcher's mound for the Blue Jays. He surrendered seven runs on eight hits over five innings, striking out two. Dorian and Zimmer entered the game from the bullpen, throwing two innings and one inning respectively.
The Atlanta Blue Sox collected 15 hits. Tommy Bottichio, Matt Hartwell, Sosa, Jeff Schrank, and Gilbreth all managed multiple hits for Atlanta Blue Sox. Gilbreth, Schrank, Sosa, Hartwell, and Bottichio each collected two hits to lead the Sox.
The Blue Jays racked up 12 hits. Sean, Kolin, Dorian, Josh, and Mouzon each had multiple hits.
